We toured...walked, crawled, squeezed through, climbed, etc...the ruins of Mesa Verde. These ruins date from A.D. 600 to 1300.

Cliff Palace

The largest cliff dwelling in North America. Althought these people moved into this area around A.D. 500 they did not use the cliff alcoves consistently until around A.D. 1200 when there was a massive construction period. By A.D. 1300 the area was abandoned.
